LeadingAge WI member Oakwood Village made a national splash last week when they were highlighted as part of LeadingAge National's Story Collector.
The LeadingAge Story Collector is a national initiative to leverage member stories for shared learning and advocacy. The project is collecting stories that demonstrate the humanity, creativity, and direct impact of our work.
Oakwood Village's new Agility Park was the focus of the story, which was featured in the national monthly newsletter and published online. The park was created with rehabilitation patients in mind. Featuring six distinct walking surfaces and gentle elevation changes, the Peggy Lindberg Agility Park—named for a former resident whose foundation funded its construction—enables physical therapists to offer patients extra activities that can be difficult to recreate indoors.
Tell Your Story Too!
Use the Story Collector to share your organization’s innovations in services and operations, technology use, workforce recruitment and retention, property management, strategic planning, financial management, and more.
